Our Foundational Beliefs

Believing

Believing-

First and foremost throughout Scripture God has commanded us to believe on Him. (Hebrews 11-6) "For he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

Jesus said in (Jhon 11-25), "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."

Additionally we are commanded to believe a specific way according to (Jhon 7-38), "He that believeth on me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." Please note that the Scripture says we must believe as the Scripture hath said!

Therefore we contend that a man must believe correctly, to avoid bieng deceived, and also that he may obtain and receive biblical salvation according to Scripture. A sincere conversion experience that is biblically accurate!

Faith

Faith -Scripture teaches us that faith is a spirit according to (2 Corinthians 4: 13), "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore I have spoken; we also believe and therefore speak."

For a man to recieve biblical salvation his belief in God must evolve into faith. This spirit of faith only comes through the divine act of anointed preaching. According to (Romans 10-17) faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10-14) "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?"

The Apostle James commented concerning real genuine faith that it would always be accompanied with works of the Spirit: (James 2 -17) "Even so faith, if it have not works is dead, bieng alone." (James 2- 26) "For the body without the Spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."

It is very important to realize and understand that the works that follow faith are not our works but the work of the Spirit! (The work of faith!)

Therefore: repentance, baptism, and holy living is not our work; it is the work of the Spirit of faith in us. This work of faith is the very evidence of bieng called and chosen by Him!

For we have ceased from our own works when we by faith enter into His rest. (Hebrews 4 - 10-11) [10] "For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his." [11] "Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief."

With fake, dead faith; prevailing in society and within many Christian circles, we contend that real genuine faith is something a true believer must strive to poses and is necessary for salvation!

Repentance

Repentance- Repent or perish were the very words of Jesus Christ Himself! (Luke 13 -3-5)

The doctrine and preaching of repentance is found interwoven throughout the entire fabric of Scripture.

Scripture clearly teaches us that repentance is one of the essential elements needed to bring forth a real conversion experience that is biblically accurate and what qualifies an individual for {remission of sins} by a man of God through (baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.) (Jhon 20-23 -Acts 238). (Matthew 3-2) (Mark -6-12) (Luke 3-8-) (Luke 13-3) (Luke 24- 47) (Acts 3- 19) (Acts17-30).

(Proverbs 28- 13) says, "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy."

Repentance is a complete change of mind and direction.

For one to suddenly change his outlook on life and come into agreement with God about sin—evil—and wickedness—within the world—and within himself.

To agree with God concerning his situation, circumstance, and the condition of his human soul.

Genuine sincere repentance is always supernatural in orgin and always springing forth from the level of faith that a man possesses in his heart.

This divine supernatural-awakening (epiphany)—or coming to grips with spiritual reality—will always bring about remorse, regret, and godly fear concerning his sinful flesh (fallen nature) and wicked heart.

(The Book of Proverbs says that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.)

Most generally this fear, remorse, and regret growing from the roots of repentance will lead to a sincere confessing and forsaking of sin, implanting a stong desire for purity, righteousness, and holiness.

The Greek word for repentance is metanoia in which Wikipedia explains as this: "In Christian theology, metanoia (from the Greek μετάνοια, metanoia, changing one's mind) is commonly understood as 'a transformative change of heart; especially: a spiritual conversion'. The term suggests repudiation, change of mind, repentance, and atonement; but 'conversion' and 'reformation' may best approximate its connotation.[2] This theological concept is linked with Christian prayer, in which a prostration is called a metanoia, with 'the spiritual condition of one's soul being expressed through the physical movement of falling facedown before the Lord' as seen in the biblical passages of Matthew 2:11, Luke 5:12, and Luke 17:15–16."

Baptism

Baptism - Baptism is a divine command of God given to those seeking eternal salvation and entrance into the one true church of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Jhon 3-1-7) (Acts 2-38) (Mark 16-16)

Jesus told Nicodemus a man must be born again of water and spirit to enter into the Kingdom of God.

According to Scripture there are two elements to the born again message, water and spirit.

We contend that one must be born of water to enter into the Kingdom of God.

Also contending that water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is the scriptural method of bieng born of the water.

After a man or woman comes to God seeking salvation and entrance into the Kingdom of God he must first through faith repent and believe the Gospel before he obeys the command to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.

This command to repent and believe can be found in (Mark 1-15).

Bieng baptized means to be fully immersed, buried, and or plunged into water. Thus fulfilling the command to be born of water in (Jhon 3). Baptism represents death and burial according to (Romans 6-1-10).

When a man repents, believes the Gospel and gives his life to God he must die to his own will and bury his old life to receive remission of sins through water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus, thus signifying the death and burial of his sinful life. That he may go on to receive new life in Christ and in the church, through the infilling of the Holy Ghost.

It is important to remember that Jesus said, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved" (Mark 16-16).

Also note (Acts 2-38) — "Then Peter said unto them repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."Baptism can be found interwoven throughout the New Testament as a divine ordinance of God given to those seeking remission and salvation from the church of the living God.

Receiving the Holy Ghost

Receiving the Holy Ghost Acts 1-8 — "But you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you!!!!"

(Jhon 3-5) Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. [6] That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."

The promise of the Holy Ghost was given by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself to all those that are near and are afar off and sincerely seeking truth and eternal salvation.

Anybody seeking to be born again the scriptural way must not only be born of the water but also be born of the Spirit. According to (Jhon 3-1-7).

Receiving the Holy Ghost is to have the very Spirit of the Almighty God flowing into and out of there very bieng. Through a supernatural experience that comes through intense prayer and fasting, true worship, and seeking the face of God. According to (Acts 5-32) the Holy Ghost is given to them that obey Him!

One of the greatest questions ever asked in New Testament Scripture was asked by the Apostle Paul in Acts 19-2 — "Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?"

Examples of believers receiving the Holy Ghost can be found in the Book of Acts (Acts 2-1-38) (Acts 8-1-17) (Acts 10-1-48) (Acts 19-1-7).

Holiness

The call to a lifestyle of holiness is a command of God to every true believer (1 Peter 1-16) says, "Because it is written, be ye holy for I am holy."

The calling to be holy is found intertwined throughout the Old and New Testament and comes from the word Kodesh in Hebrew wich means to consecrate to purify and to set apart for a divine purpose.

To live a life of holiness is to surrender to the perfect will of God and allow the Spirit of God to set you apart from sin, worldliness, and fleshly desires for His purpose and His glory.

The Spirit of true holiness at work will empower and motivate you to live a life of complete surrender and obedience to God. And without this holiness no man shall see God. (Hebrews 12-14)
